Abstract
Process for concentrating a liquid product and for simultaneous recovery of heat energy contained in at least one heat-transfer liquid with the use in the concentration process of all or part of the heat energy thus recovered, in which the said liquid product is subjected to at least one stage of evaporation by using, at each stage, heating steam which gives up its latent heat of vaporisation to the liquid product and condenses to yield condensates, characterised in that heat energy is abstracted from the heat-transfer fluid in the evaporator of a heat pump and in that the latter is used to transfer all or part of the heat energy thus abstracted into the evaporation cycle of the liquid product to be concentrated.
