Abstract

The sliding bearing, for buildings or structures above or below ground, has a sliding plate (1) with a sliding sheet (2) on it. A layer of plastics (3) is located between this sheet and a carrier plate (5). The bearing body is fitted with a sensor pin (6), at the side of the plastics layer, for measuring the gap (4) between the sliding sheet and carrier plate. A gauge (7) indicates this distance. Indicators are pref. distributed at three or more points on the periphery of the bearing body.
