Abstract

The hopper can be rigidly mounted on an agricultural tractor, e.g. by three-point attachment (1,2,3). The tractor drives a hydraulic motor (4) to rotate a discharge screw conveyor (5) which is fed with granular material from two compartments. Flow from each compartment is regulated by pivoted baffles (7) controlled by external handles. The compartments can be gravity loaded. The hopper is then transportable to any location accessible to the tractor. The screw conveyor discharges directly into a feeding trough.
