Abstract

The device advances a film (1) from one step (P) of an exposure (3) to the next in a filming or copying appts. It is particularly for use with a film which does not have notches or perforations along its longitudinal sides. The appts. consists, in combination, of a perforator (10) which makes a single mark (11) on the film to be shot, and below the perforator by a distance equal to the step (P) between two exposures, on infra-red detector (12) of this mark. At the moment of taking a shot the operator realises a perforation (11). When the shot is finished he advances the film which stops when the perforation is detected by the IR detector. The film is then in position for the next shot.
