Abstract

The securing nut for the spoke of a bicycle wheel is made up of several sections (24,15,16) which are assembled together prior to attachment to the wheel rim (12). The elements comprise a hexagonal nut (17) having an internally threaded body (14) into which the end of the spoke screws. The body of the nut projects through a washer (16) of spring steel and a resilient ring (15) of plastics which bears onto the wheel rim.
