Abstract

The plastics bin has integral covers and is stable for stacking. The two halves of the cover fold and slide, avoiding loss of filling space and allowing the stacking of full bins. Closing is effected by stapling the two covers. The bin is frusto-pyramidal and each half cover (12) is fixed to opposite sides. At the cover ends are two nodules (12') which slide along two grooves (13) on the side of the bin. When empty, the half covers are guided in the grooves (13) and fold vertically downwards.
