Abstract

The system controls the linear or rotary position of part of a machine using a comparison between the real speed of the part and the required speed. As a result of this comparison repeated corrections are made to the movement of the part. In order to control the movement of the part the system includes a displacement controlling unit connected to a control system and a distribution unit. An electronic circuit includes speed detectors one of which corresponds to the actual speed while one corresponds to the desired speed determined by a potentiometer. The data provided by these detectors are analysed and compared, then sent via a power amplifier to the controlling unit. This sends instructions to the appropriate part via the distributor. The controlling unit may be hydraulic, with a filter, pump, pressure regulator, and servo-valve.
