Abstract

A jacket for sports purposes, e.g. skiing, has an integral back pack which can be tucked into a pocket in the back of the jacket but deployed externally for use when loaded. The top of the pack is fitted to the top of the rear pocket. The pack has ancillary straps which can be fastened to buckles on the front of the jacket and opt. also pass over the shoulders to help support the loaded pack. Jacket more convenient for multipurpose use than a separate knapsack.
