Abstract
Description
The subject of the present invention is a simple and effective device allowing the homogeneous incorporation and at determined doses of various substances in a fluid without altering the latter, in particular this device allows the incorporation in wine of clarifiers in liquid form as well as the addition of stabilizers and all other products which may be added thereto.
To carry out such operations, various devices have hitherto been used which have serious drawbacks. The dosing pumps are difficult to handle and have a very high cost price. Other devices did not allow the incorporation of various substances in the absence of air and therefore caused an oxidation of the liquid to be treated which must not be altered and, finally, when it was desired to incorporate various substances in large masses of liquid, it was necessary to use very high pressures and consequently also mechanical means creating maivais conditions, costly and liable to seriously alter the liquid to be treated.
Similarly, the materials currently used, despite numerous improvements, prove to be complex and expensive and do not give a perfect result; moreover, the parts of these machines, which are subjected to severe stresses, wear out quickly and consequently require regular maintenance.
The present invention overcomes these drawbacks by creating a simple device and an attractive cost price, comprising only a reduced number of mechanical means avoiding sudden mixing of the liquid which must not be altered.
In accordance with the invention, the apparatus which ensures the incorporation of substances into a liquid uses a vacuum created by the speed of passage of the liquid to be treated and allows the suction to be protected from the air of the substances to be incorporated, this device being constituted by at least one container containing the liquid to be treated, connected to its lower part by a pipe, a venturi in the central zone of which the intake of the additional product is provided, then the mixture is sucked back to the pre container - mentioned until the addition of the product,
According to another characteristic of the invention, the first container containing the livid to be treated has, at its lower part, an outlet towards a pipe leading to a venturi the central part of which is connected by a conduit to a reservoir of product to be added and then a second pipe, which may include a recovery pump, sends the treated liquid to a storage container,
According to another feature of the invention, a solid part having a central gripping zone is pierced with a convergent-divergent duct forming a venturi, the central zone of the venturi being connected by a channel to the conduit for supplying the product add # t #onnel and the ends of the massive clamp comprise means of joining with the pipes for bringing in and leaving the treated liquid.
Various other characteristics of the invention will also emerge from the detailed description which follows.
Embodiments of the subject of the invention are shown, by way of nonlimiting examples, in the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a schematic section of a first embodiment of the subject of the invention.
Fig, 2 is a schematic sectional elevation of a second embodiment of the object of the invention.
FIG. 3 is a section, on a larger scale, of one of the elements of the device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
In fig. 1, a container 1 is shown, the lower part of which has a conduit 2 allowing its junction with a pipe 3 leading to a solid part 4 (see fig. 3) having, in its outer central part, a double flat 5 facilitating its gripping. to fix it, on the one hand, on the pipe 3 and, on the other hand, on the inlet of an electric pump 6. The ends 4a, 4b of the part 4 are threaded to allow easy screwing of the junction between the aforementioned elements. The part 4 is pierced with a convergent-divergent channel 7 so as to constitute a venturi whose central part 7a which is of a very small diameter is connected, by a vertical channel 8, with a conduit 9 leading to a reservoir 10 containing the product to be added. The outlet of the pump 6 is connected by a pipe 11 to a storage tank 12. 13 designates the electrical power supply conductor of the pump 6,
It will therefore be readily understood that when the pump 6 is started up, suction takes place in the pipe 3 and a vacuum is thus created in the central part of the venturi 7, which makes it possible to suck from the reservoir 10 the liquid to be added to the liquid L1 contained in the container 1. Of course the quantity of product to be added can be adjusted by means of a tap 15 placed on the conduit 9. The treated liquid is then returned by the pump 6 in a pipe 11 and from there into a storage tank 12.Opens 20, 21 are provided 3 the upper part of the container 1 and of the storage tank 12 for the transfer of the liquid
L1 before treatment and L2 liquid after treatment.
It is possible in the case of the installation of fig. 1 to suppress the pump 6 and to operate by gravity at least until the equilibrium of the liquids contained in the container 1 and in the storage tank 12 since the depression is created by the passage of the liquid in the venturi 7. When the exchange stops due to the balance of the liquid, it is necessary to operate the pump 6 unless the container 1 has been placed in height relative to the storage tank 12, in which case it does not it is not necessary to move the pump 6.
In fig. 2, the container 1 which contains the fluid L1 is connected, by a pipe 30, to the canali Sa tien 9 making it possible to withdraw the added liquid contained in the container 10 through the adjustment valve 15. The venturi 7 is connected to a recovery pump 32 which, via a pipe 33, returns the liquid to the container 1. Thus, when the product contained in the container 10 is completely mixed with the liquid L1, the treatment is finished and the pump 32 can be stopped, To avoid stirring of the liquid L1 during treatment, the conduit 33 is extended by a channel 34 plunging deeply into the container 1 in order to avoid a large emulsion which can create harmful reactions
Of course, as well for the installation of FIG. 1 as for that of FIG. 2, it is possible to add a flow meter to the outlet of the container 10 in order to constantly check the quantity of product taken from the container 10 and which is added to the liquid L1 during treatment. At the end of the treatment either by l 'installation of fig, 1, or by the installation of fig. 2, the treated liquid is withdrawn to, for example, be put to rest
As indicated, these various embodiments of the invention allow in the wine sector the incorporation of clarifiers in liquid form in wine, stabilizers and all-other products which may be added thereto. But we can also use this material whenever there is a need to incorporate in a simple and homogeneous way a product in any liquid, for example a dye, to characterize a liquid, an antiseptic to sanitize a liquid or mix two liquids together in a simple, complete and without any risk.
The invention is not limited to the embodiments shown and described in detail since various modifications can be made thereto without departing from its scope.
