Abstract

The grape handling unit comprises a pair of articulated frames which are mounted in front of the harvester. The parallel frames each support inclined endless chain conveyors equipped with resilient fingers which prevent the bunches of grapes from falling back down onto the ground. The movement of the chains is controlled by a height adjustable wheel on which is mounted a toothed crown wheel. An endless chain passes over this wheel and drives the upper drive shaft of the endless chain conveyors.
