Abstract
Description
AND EQUIPMENT OF WORKING ELEMENTS
The present invention relates to a method of shoring of span (load-bearing framework) and to equipment consequently used for pouring concrete floors. Such systems and equipment are already known and the previous ones basically consisted of various connected structural elements, carrying wooden panels on which the concrete is poured. These assemblies - called "structural units" - are, after taking the floor, removed or removed "to a higher level of the building under construction. One of the drawbacks, however, of these assemblies is, among other others, that the devices intended to bring - by rolling them - the units from under a poured floor and having set, to the location from which they will be "removed" have, for a reason or a Another disadvantage was that the components of these units were not easily interchangeable enough that these elements had to be stored in very large quantities. The present invention therefore aims to overcome these disadvantages by allowing the creation of a more universal system and equipment for use during concrete pouring for the purposes described above.
According to one of these major aspects, the present invention therefore relates to equipment intended for the pouring of concrete floors, said equipment consisting of (a) two modular and assemblable sections of span, of essentially rectangular shape, separated and connected, one from / to the other, associated to form a structural unit, each of said sections consisting of at least (i) two longitudinal beams, one upper and the other lower, (ii) at least two vertical links, arranged at a certain horizontal distance from each other, spreading, and connecting, one of / to the other the side members, (iii) at least one vertical load-bearing element, placed between the two vertical links, fixed to the lateral faces of the side members, also separating and connecting, one of / to the other the side members; and (iv) at least one oblique link, connected to the two longitudinal members and situated between a vertical link and the next load-bearing element, said oblique link also separating the long rails from one another; (b) several screw yerins placed below the load-bearing elements to maintain the section in its position of use and able, if necessary, to carry out a pivoting movement; and (c) a plurality of beam elements detachably attached to the upper parts of the sections, extending at least from the outer edge to the outer edge of two associated sections.
According to another major aspect, the present invention relates to a method of assembling a structural unit used for the pouring of concrete floors, said method comprising the following phases: (a) connecting at least two modular sections interchangeable span, of essentially rectangular shape, so that they are parallel and distant from each other, in order to form a structural unit, each of said sections consisting of at least: two longitudinal beams, one upper and the other lower, (at least two vertical links, arranged at a certain horizontal distance from one another, spreading and connecting, one of / to the other of the side members (iii) at least one vertical load-bearing element, placed between the two vertical links, fixed to the lateral faces of the longitudinal members, also separating and connecting one of / to the other of the longitudinal members; and (iv) at least one oblique link connected to the two longitudinal members and located between a vertical link and the carrier element e next load, said oblique link separating one of the other side members (b) place several screw jacks below the load-bearing elements to maintain said section in its position of use and being able, if necessary, perform a pivoting movement; (c) detachably fixing several detachable beam elements fixed to the upper parts of the sections, extending at least from the outer edge to the outer edge of the two associated sections; and (d) detachably attaching several panels to the beam elements on which the concrete will be poured.

Before describing the whole of the invention, we will first describe the various parts making it up.
Referring to the drawings and, in particular, to the figures from 1 to 4, the invention comprises two modular sections, which can be assembled, of essentially rectangular shape, each consisting of two longitudinal beams 1 and 2, the upper one and the other lower, made in a box, separated, and connected, one to / from the other by load-bearing elements 3, also made in boxes, vertically connecting the outer faces of the side members 1 and 2 and by links tubular 4, arranged at a certain horizontal distance from each other, vertically joining the side members, each of the load-bearing elements 3 being placed between two links 4. Oblique links 5 also connect the side members to each other , at least one of the oblique links 5 being located between each load-bearing element 3 and the vertical link 4 which follows. Molds 6 also connect transversely the oblique links 5 of a span section to those of the opposite span section, thanks to hooking studs 7 carried by oblique links 5 and, if necessary, also connect between them, in a horizontal plane and through the fastening studs 8, projecting upwards and carried by the lower spar 2. The upper spar 1 is, as can be seen in Figure lc, provided with two wings lateral 9 extending, on either side, its upper horizontal face.
The end of each modular span section can, if necessary, be provided with a span section termination, as illustrated in FIG. 3 and, as will be seen, the span sections of each modular unit are connected end to end (or longitudinally) by means of assembly plates (Figure 30 and 31) bolted to the upper and lower beams 1 and 2 of two butted span sections.
The invention also includes the use of special screw jacks which we will now describe in detail with reference to Figures 5 to 8 of the accompanying drawings.
Referring to Figures 5 to 8 of the drawings, the load carrying screw jacks, adjustable, consist of a box, internally drilled, the assembly of which is referenced 10, made of cast aluminum. Said housing is provided with two cheeks 11 ′, spaced apart from each other (FIG. 6) which, at their lower end, form an integral part of the main part 12 of the cylinder body and are connected, between the cylinder body and their upper ends, by two transverse spars 13. The main part 12 of the body has the hole in which the associated actuator screw 14 moves. The upper end of the actuator screw is provided with a captive end-of-life ring. stroke 15 while the lower end of the jack screw is fixed to a load-bearing element or base plate 16. It can be seen that the ring 15 and the base plate 16 together constitute the devices with which the cylinder screw for the purpose of limiting its axial movement in one direction as in the other.
A molded soft iron blocking nut, referenced 17 as a whole, is placed around, and is screwed onto, the jack screw 14. It is provided with two clamping handles, diametrically opposed, 13 in order to facilitate its adjustment on the jack screw, and two diametrically opposite drainage notches, 19, to allow rain to flow out of the jack.
The lower end of the main part 12 of the body narrows in the direction of its longitudinal axis of symmetry so that the compression forces exerted by the load carried by the adjustable cylinder are directed and channeled towards the longitudinal axis of symmetry of the cylinder screw to obtain the maximum efficiency of the device.
The adjustable jack is provided with a pin 20 connected to one of the cheeks 11 'by means of a chain 21, said jack being able to be connected and pivot relative to any suitable support element such as, for example, a load-bearing element 3 or be placed below an extension fixed to such an element of the span system, by means of a pivot pin 22 passed through the holes .23 drilled at the upper end of the cheeks 11 ', said spindle - also passing through the load-carrying element 3 or extension - being held in place, by the nuts 24, which also make it possible to extract it. The cheeks are also provided with a first series of holes 25 and ears 26 in which the holes 27 are drilled. In fact, the pin 20 is passed through the holes 25 and the load-bearing element 3 when the adjustable cylinder is in its working position (figure 6). When, on the other hand, it is desired to pass the jack from its working position to its rest position, (FIG. 7) the pin 20 is extracted from the holes 25 and the cylinder is pivoted upwards around the pivot pin. 22 until the lug 26 is found covering the load-bearing element 3. The pin 20 is then inserted into the holes 27 in order to maintain the jack in its rest position.
The lower end of the main body 12 of the jack not only gradually tapers towards its longitudinal axis of symmetry but also has a step 28 so as to be housed in the central part of the upper face which faces it, the locking nut 17. Likewise, the upper end of the main body of the jack is of a diameter greater than that of the central bore intended to allow passage to the jack screw 14 so as to form, when the screw cylinder occupies its lowest position, a seat 29 for the end of race ring 15.
Lesdites poutres peuvent toutefois être également du modèle décrit et revendiqué au brevet britannique numéro 1.501.783 délivré le 22 Février 1978.The invention also includes the use of various models of beam elements such as, for example, those shown in Figures 9 to 12 of the accompanying drawings. Said beams can however also be of the model described and claimed in British patent number 1,501,783 issued on February 22, 1978.
Referring now to Figures 9 to 12 of the drawings, and in particular to Figure 9, the beam element 11 which is illustrated therein consists of a long element provided with a longitudinal trench and composed of an upper spar , referenced. as a whole, of a lower spar, referenced B as a whole and of a part, or flat, connecting the two spars and B, referenced C as a whole.
The upper spar delimits a trench, referenced 3 as a whole, the cross section of which is essentially U-shaped and which consists of two opposite lateral partitions 30 connected by a lower partition 31. Each of the lateral partitions is, at its apex, connects at right angles to the outside of the trench, thus forming a wing 32.
The lower spar B has two main wings 33 parallel to, and located at a certain distance from, the wings 32.
The beam element comprises a notch 34, the cross section of which is essentially in the shape of a T, situated in the junction zone of the plate C and the lower beam 3, the lad ercoche being suitable for playing the role of slide receiving the bolt head 35 of a sliding flange (not shown) is not part of the present invention but which can, according to a known method, connect a beam to another adjacent destructive element.
The free end of each wing 32 and 33 ends in a tenon border, referenced 36 as a whole, defined by the two surfaces, distant from each other, 37 and 38, which, at least over a certain distance, extend generally orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the plate C and which end with two converging surfaces 39 and 40 so as to give each edge-stud 36 a shape, in cross section, essentially conical.
An insert 41 (which may be of wood) is forced into the trench D and then it is fixed therein, in a detachable manner, by any appropriate means, such as nails (not shown). We then have plywood panels P, or structural planks of the desired dimensions, on the inserts and we nail them so that they serve as the basis for the poured concrete.
With regard to the beam model illustrated in FIG. 10, it can be seen that the surfaces 37 of the tenon borders 36 are more inclined relative to the horizontal than those, corresponding, of the model of FIG. 9. In other words, the angle they make with the associated wings, 32 and 33 is closer to 900.
A part cette légère différence, le deuxième modèle de réalisation de l'invention est semblable à celui décrit ci-dessus et illustré à la figure 9.Apart from this slight difference, the second embodiment of the invention is similar to that described above and illustrated in FIG. 9.
In the model illustrated in FIG. 11, the beam element is devoid of the T-shaped notch, 34, but the thickness of the plate C increases at 42, in the junction zone of the plate and the lower spar B
The model illustrated in FIG. 12 is similar to that of FIG. 11, except that the tenon borders are of the type illustrated in FIG. 10. In all cases, the structural elements are of extruded aluminum and the angle between the converging surfaces 39 and 40 is between 80 and 1000 and is preferably straight.
It can be seen from the above description that the particular shape of the tenon borders 36 is such that they will be proof against any damage due to rough or erroneous manipulations and will make it possible to subject one to the 'other, by means of suitable clamps and reverse profile (which will be described later), two elements having the same borders-tenon.
Said tenon borders 36 also provide attachment surfaces for solid clamping and a simple and quick means of self-centering the associated clamps, while remaining fully visible for safety inspections.
The invention also uses various models of flanges and flanges which we will now describe.
La profondeur de la surface 47 est inférieure à celle de la surface 48.Referring to the drawings and Figures 13 and 14, the first model of flange that can be used in the context of the invention consists of two parts, the first of which comprises a clamping element defined by two surfaces, interior and exterior, 43 and 44 and extended by a threaded portion 45 originating on the interior face. The inner face 43 of the clamping element is provided with two notches, the first of which, referenced 46 as a whole, is (as can be seen in FIG. 14) of essentially square section, defined by two opposite surfaces 47 and 48 , each essentially orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of symmetry of the threaded part 45 and connected by a surface 49, also orthogonal to said axis. The depth of the surface 47 is less than that of the surface 48.
The second notch, referenced 50 as a whole, is defined by two opposite surfaces 51 and 52 (essentially orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of symmetry of the threaded portion 4w 'connected by two converging surfaces 53 and 54, which gives the notch 50 a cross section essentially in V, the surface 53 being (when the cut is seen in cross section) shorter than the surface 54. The angle between said surfaces 53 and 54 is between 80 and 100C and will preferably be , A right angle.
La bride comporte également des éléments accessoires (écrou à oreilles 55 ét rondelle 55', sur la partie filetée 45).The flange also includes accessory elements (wing nut 55 and washer 55 ', on the threaded part 45).
Lors de i'utilisation, et selon la forme, en coupe transversale, de la bordure-tenon de la poutre, on positionne la bride sur ledit élément poutre de façon à placer la bordure-tenon dans l'entaille adéquate et de profil inverse, 46 ou 50, puis on serre l'écrou 55 monté sur la partie filetée 45.During the use, and according to the shape, in cross section, of the edge-tenon of the beam, the flange is positioned on said beam element so as to place the edge-tenon in the appropriate notch and of opposite profile, 46 or 50, then tighten the nut 55 mounted on the threaded part 45.
In the case of the second flange model, the threaded part is in the form of a threaded steel bolt, with head, 45 (figure 16) which passes through a bore 56 (figure 15) of the element of clamping. The clamping element is provided with a third notch, referenced 57 as a whole, located between and parallel to the notches 46 and 50 and lying in the transverse axis of symmetry of the bore 56.
The assembly therefore consists of said steel bolt 45 on which the clamping element is freely mounted at first. The bolt has a relatively small transverse borehole (not shown). When assembling the flange, once the clamping element has been mounted on the bolt 45 so that its outer face 44 is in contact with the head of the bolt and the third notch 57 is aligned with the bore transverse, small diameter, of the bolt, a pin 58 is inserted into the notch and through the bore of the bolt 45.The pin therefore prohibits any relative movement of the clamping element relative to the bolt, by fixing these two parts of each other. The wing nut 55, or any other suitable nut, is then screwed onto the lower end of the bolt 45 so as to grip the edge-tenon of the profiled destructive element (be it the side member of upper span 1 or that of a beam) between the nut and the clamping element and in such a way that the latter adapts to the edge-tenon, so that its profile is similar to that of the notch 46 or that of notch 50.
Referring now to Figures 18 and 19 of the drawings, the third flange model consists of two clamping elements A 'and B', complementing each other, having internal and external faces 43 and 44 and a non-threaded hole (not shown but similar to hole 56) passing from one face to the other. The inner face of each clamping element has three notches 46, 50 and 57, previously described at the same time as the second flange model.
The whole of the third flange model consists of a bolt 45 on which the first and second clamping elements A 'and B' are mounted, free at first. Said bolt is, like that of the second flange model, pierced transversely with a hole of relatively small diameter (not shown). When assembling the clamp, once the clamping element
A 'has been mounted on the bolt 45, so that its outer face 44 is in contact with the head of the bolt and that the third notch 57 is aligned with the small diameter trQu drilled transversely in the bolt, a pin 58 is inserted in the notch through the hole drilled in the bolt 45. The spindle therefore prohibits any relative movement of the clamping element A 'relative to the bolt, by fixing these two parts to one another. The second clamping element B 'is then mounted on the bolt 45 so that its inner face 43 is opposite the inner face 43 of the clamping element A'. A nut 55 is then screwed onto the free end of the bolt 45 so as to keep the clamping elements in position, one relative to the other, in use, the element B 'being mounted on the or lon 45 so that it can slide and pivot. The nut the threaded part 45 are of steel while the clamping elements are of aluminum.
Lors de l'utilisation, comme on le voit sur la figure 19, l'une des deux entailles 46 et 50 (selon le prof il de la bordure-tenon de l'élément de structure M) s'adapte à la bordure-tenon ils élément de structure adjacent (puisque le profil de cette bordure-tenon correspond à celui de l'entaille qui s'y adapte).During use, as can be seen in FIG. 19, one of the two notches 46 and 50 (according to the prof il of the border-tenon of the structural element M) adapts to the border-tenon they have an adjacent structural element (since the profile of this border-post corresponds to that of the notch which adapts to it).
A part of the upper beam or of the beam (as the case may be: is clamped between the interior faces 43 of the two clamping elements A 'and B' and is held in this position by the interaction of the bolt and the nut which bring the two clamping elements together.
Depending on the length of span required, these modular sections of span are rie, so that they are parallel and at a certain distance from each other, by means of the above-mentioned molds 6 fixed to the oblique links. 5. The elements-pou.re 11 are then placed transversely and at a certain distance from each other, on said span sections, by connecting the post-tenon edges of the beams to the lateral wings 9 of the upper longitudinal beams 1 by means of flanges.
The plywood panels P are then detachably fixed with nails to the wooden inserts 41 of the beams in order to receive the poured concrete.
In the case where the height of a modular span unit is insufficient, one can insert two main extensions 58, produced in a box (FIG. 20), in the lower ends of the vertical load-bearing elements 3 and fix them there so as to obtain the required height by means of U-bolts, 59 (Figure 21) placed in the holes (not shown) drilled in the lower ends of the load-bearing elements 3 and the holes 60 regularly spaced along the extensions 58. A bar of stop 61, placed across each bolt 59, serves to form a handle and also serves as an end stop preventing too deep insertion of the bolts 59 into the holes, associated and aligned, of the extensions 58. 10 can, when using the extensions 58, be placed below the lower ends of the main extensions 58 so as to support the latter. The right part of FIG. 22 represents this assembly.
In the case where the height of the modular span unit is still insufficient, slip union sleeves 60 ′ (figure 23), of essentially rectangular cross section, are slipped over the lower ends of the main extensions 58 and then inserted the upper ends of the secondary extensions 61 ′, also produced in a box of essentially rectangular section (FIG. 22) in the opposite ends of the sleeves 60 ′ which are then bolted to each pair of main and secondary extensions 58 and 61 placed vertically in the extension of one another. Two articulated flanges 62 are fixed at a certain vertical distance from each other on each pair of extensions 58 and 61, placed vertically in line with one another (left side of FIG. 22).
We will now describe the flanges 62 with reference to Figures 24 to 29 of the accompanying drawings.
The flanges 62 used to mold the extensions 58 and 61 'must be designed so that they can be easily attached to the extensions and so that the secondary molds 6' can be quickly and easily connected to them.
Each flange 62 consists of a pair of jaws 63 and 64 articulated to each other at 65 and each provided with protruding threaded devices 66. During use, the jaws 63 and 64 are separated from one another (FIG. 27) so as to be able to place the collar around an extension 58 or 61 ′ and then fix it there by clamping. The open ends of the transverse and longitudinal bars, 6 '(FIG. 29) are then fixed to the flanges 62 through the threaded devices 66.
The screw jacks 10 can then be mounted on the lower ends of the secondary extensions 61.
On relie longitudinalement des sections modulaires de travure alignées au moyen de paires de plaques inférieure et supérieure, d'assemblage 67, représentées à la figure 30.Modular sections of aligned span are connected longitudinally by means of pairs of lower and upper plates, of assembly 67, shown in FIG. 30.
In cases where the surface below the floor to be poured is not flat, it is necessary to use modular sections of span, aligned longitudinally, of different heights.
Un tel assemblage de sections de travure est illustré à la figure 32.In such a case, however, if the lower beams 2 are longitudinally aligned, the upper beams 1 are not so that it is necessary to use, to connect the aligned sections together, assembly plates for unevenness, or assembly brackets, 68 (Figure 31). Such an assembly of span sections is illustrated in Figure 32.
It is often necessary to provide the outer perimeter of a floor with a core, or silt, forming an integral part, of thickness greater than the average thickness of the floor or, sometimes also, to flow at the same time as the floor. one or more beams, of greater thickness. A special scaffolding is therefore necessary and experience has shown that the present invention provides a long-awaited, rapid and rapid solution to this problem in a manner which does not require, to achieve a such an extension, that a number of elements and a quantity of work reduced to the minimum. It is also very advantageous, when removing - after the poured floor has set - the modular span units to a higher level, to make the extension part of such a unit so that it can also be removed simultaneously without having to disassemble it to reassemble it afterwards. We can now refer to Figures 33 to 36 of the accompanying drawings.
La longueur totale de chaque longeron inférieur 69 sera, de préférence, inférieure à celle des longerons supérieurs 68 et la face supérieure de ces derniers est dotée des ailes latérales 9' (figure 34).The extension, referenced E as a whole, is cantilevered at one end of the modular span unit and consists of pairs of upper and lower beams 68 and 69, arranged in parallel in a vertical plane and kept at a certain distance one from the other by vertical uprights 70, each placed between two oblique discharges 71. The total length of each lower spar 69 will preferably be less than that of the upper spars 68 and the upper face of the latter has side wings 9 '(Figure 34).
The inner ends of the longerons, upper and lower 68 and 69 made in a box (FIG. 34) are provided with pairs of side plates 72, welded at one of their ends to the side faces of the vertical union elements at one end, 73 Each pair of plates 72 is designed so as to be able to be placed astride a corresponding union element, vertical and drilled 74, made in a box and provided at its ends with horizontal pins 75. Bolts 76 can be mounted, detachable and adjustable, to fix the side plates 72 to the union elements 74 while the studs 75 are designed so that they can be inserted in the main, upper and lower beams, 1 and 2 of the modular span unit. The tenons 75 are held in place, in the side members 1 and 2, by bolts (not shown) passing through the holes 77 (FIG. 35) of the tenons and the corresponding holes (also not shown) drilled in the side faces described s upper and lower beams, 1 and 2.
It is thus seen that the vertical position of the extension for core or stair stringer E can be adjusted, in the vertical direction, on the union elements 74 so that the level of its upper horizontal surface can be modified relative at the level of the upper horizontal surface of the modular span unit which is adjacent to it and connected.
Several transverse beams 11, such as, for example, those described and claimed in British patent n01,501,783 or those illustrated in Canadian patent n01,045,348 or those illustrated in figures from 9 to 12 of the drawings of the present application (all beams comprising wooden inserts to which the plywood panels P can be nailed) are placed, at a certain distance from each other and from one of the upper beams 68 of the extension for staircase core to the other so as to carry the scaffolding necessary for the casting of the stair core S. Obviously, the free part of the plywood panels P (on the left side of figure 33) constitutes a platform W which will carry a certain number of workers and the equipment auxiliary necessary for the casting of a projecting staircase core S, and an integral part, of the external perimeter of the floor F and whose thickness is greater than that of the latter.
Extension E can also be fitted with fence posts to which a safety fencing will be fixed, as we will describe below. In addition, and if necessary, the lower beams 69 can carry vertical, removable supports. or incorporated and articulated, 78, dot the lower ends can be supported by any suitable type of its rins adjustable in height.
Referring now to Figure 36, we see that the invention can also be applied to two modular span systems, distant from each other and longitudinally aligned, so as to be able to sink two distinct cores of 'staircase S at the ends of a floor and that another extension can also through a filler panel FP, connect together two span units so as to be able to sink a central beam and forming an integral part of the floor.
Obviously, and for reasons of safety, it is necessary to provide a safety fence which prevents any fall of the workers.
Such a fence can be achieved in two ways. a first is to have fittings, 78 '(FIG. 37) in a box of rectangular cross section, fixed to ears designed to be placed, and bolted, on the side of the outer ends of the upper side members. The fittings 78 'are designed to receive and maintain these vertical uprights of wood 80 to which horizontal handrails of wood 81 are fixed, extending at least from one side to the other of a span unit. The second method is to provide these vertical steel uprights 82 (FIG. 38) articulated, at their n-end ends, on horizontal studs 83 suitable for being inserted, and bolted, in the outer ends of the upper side members. Each upright 82 carries at least two fixing jumpers 84, at a certain vertical distance from each other, to which can be detachably fixed, a prefabricated security fence of mesh (refer to Figures 57 and 58) similar to the fence described in Canadian Patent No. 9,06,324.
On y procède de diverses façons, en utilisant par exemple des vérins hydrauliques ou mécaniques, des grues etc...After pouring the floor and after the concrete has set, it is necessary to extract the span unit from under the poured and set ceiling and remove it, using a crane, until a higher level, so that the successive floor can be poured into it. Before removing it, however, roll the unit outwards so that it protrudes, at a fixed distance, outside the perimeter of the floor so that it can be hung with the crane. It is however necessary to reduce the height of the unit before it can be rolled. This is done in various ways, for example using hydraulic or mechanical cylinders, cranes, etc.
It is obviously possible that the particular shape of the building requires the use of ceiling bearing assemblies, 86, which we will now describe. The use of such assemblies avoids any risk of damaging during the rolling movement operation the floor, cast and having set, which is located just above the modular unit and in addition, makes it possible to make roll the modular unit outside the building, without it tilting, beyond its center of gravity, because the cylinders 88 for running on the ceiling bear on the lower surface of said poured floor and having taken.
We now refer to Figures 39 to 42 of the accompanying drawings.
We see that the assembly 86 consists of a support, adjustable in height, 87, the upper end of which carries a cylinder 88.
The support 87 being mounted in a slide 89 provided with a lug 90 which can be inserted into the open end of an upper spar 1 of the span unit. The support 87, and consequently the rolling cylinder 88, are held at the desired height by means of a bolt 91 passing through the corresponding holes drilled in said support and the slide 89. The slide 89 is held at the inside the end of the upper side member 1 for fixing by means of a bolt 92.
Before being able to roll the modular unit, carrying the poured floor and having set, the latter must however be placed on valets or trolleys or rollers on the ground suitable (which we will describe later) so that the tenons 90 of the ceiling bearing assemblies can be inserted into the open ends of the long upper fixing rings 1, after which the supports 87 will be adjusted in height in their slides 89 in order to bring the cylinders 88 into contact with the lower surface of the floor. sunk and having taken hold. The interior end of the span unit will then be attached to any suitable anchor point using restraint cables or lifelines. The unit will then be pushed outside the building, beyond its center of gravity, where the four slings 93 (Figure 42) are passed around the upper beams 1 and then connected to the crane 94, during the same crane operation when two crane operations were previously necessary. The crane then rolls the unit until it is completely free from the building and removes it to place it on a higher level.
As we said before, after pouring the floor and after the concrete has set, it is necessary to extract the unit from under the poured and set ceiling and remove it, using a crane, up to a higher level, so that it can sink the successive floor. Before removing it, however, roll the unit outwards so that it protrudes, at a fixed distance, outside the perimeter of the floor so that it can be hung with the crane. It is however necessary to reduce the height of the unit before it can be rolled.
This is done in various ways, using, for example, hydraulic or mechanical cylinders or other devices, as we will now describe.
In the first case, the screw jacks 10 and the extensions S8 must be removed or brought, by pivoting, from their working position to their rest position. But, as we will see, this can only be done as soon as the unit is properly supported by temporary devices such as hydraulic or mechanical cylinders, etc., which will deposit the entire span system on bearing supports or pre-positioned ground rolling cylinders which we will now describe in detail with reference to Figures 43 to 50 of the drawings.
The bearing support, referenced 95 as a whole, consists of a base frame 96 provided, on one of its sides, with a pair of handles 97 and, on the opposite side, with two wheels 98 which are placed so as not to be in contact with the ground when the bearing support is in its position of use.
The base frame 96 serves to support a vertical central upright, in a rectangular box, one face of which has a blocking latch 100, movable in the horizontal plane. Oblique crutches 101 connect the corners of the frame 96 to the upright 99 so as to hold the latter. An extension 102, pierced on one of its lateral faces with several vertically spaced holes is designed so that it can be adjusted in height inside the upright 99 and maintained at the desired height by the latch 100 engaged in the hole 103 appropriate. The upper end of the extension 102 carries a horizontal plate 104, three lateral edges of which are each provided with an anti-tilting attachment device 105.
A rolling cylinder 106 and its support plate 107, although illustrated in FIG. 42, are shown in more detail in FIGS. 46 to 48 where, as can be seen, the plate 107 is pierced with pairs of holes, 108 and 109, of different diameters and is provided with a handle 110.
As a result, and for a rolling extraction operation, and after the winching cables 93 have been fixed to the upper beams 1 of the span unit, and the inner end of the latter has been connected to any one suitable anchor point, a worker will have several bearing supports 95 at the appropriate locations, under the lower beams 2, by gripping the handles 97 and tilting the support in order to bring the wheels 98 into contact with the ground. Before that, however, the bearing cylinder support plates 107 will have been slid over the plates 104 and held in position by the hooking devices 105 which cover and hang said support plates 107.
C'est ce qu'illustre la figure 36.The extensions 102 are then raised, which are locked at the desired height by means of the locking latches 100. When, by means of hydraulic or mechanical jacks, etc., the span assembly is lowered, the circumference of the cylinders 106 comes into contact with the underside of the lower side members 2 and the latter are housed between the two cheeks 111 disposed at each end of said cylinders 106. This is illustrated in FIG. 36.
The jacks 10 and the extensions 58 having been detached or brought, by pivoting, to their rest position, it is then possible to push, to roll, the span unit outside the building as close to its center of gravity. The slings 93 are then placed around the upper side members 1 and connected to the cable 94 of the crane. The unit is then completely released so that it can be removed to a higher level.
In the case where the distance separating a previously cast floor and the floor immediately above is such that it prohibits the use of the bearing supports 95, the cylinders 106 and their support plates 107 can be removed. bearing to place them on the ground, below the lower beams 2, so that the latter are supported, for movement by rolling, on said cylinders 105, as seen in FIG. 42. Because the holes 108 and 109 of the support plate are of different diameters, a safety device has been provided to guarantee that the plate 54 is always fixed in its correct position of use.
The above description shows that a cylinder 106 can be used not only mounted on a bearing support 95 but also be separated from this support to be used alone.
It is, from time to time and for various reasons, such as, for example, the presence of obstacles, necessary to move the modular span unit in a horizontal plane but in a direction which is not that, considered up to 'here, from its longitudinal axis. The present invention in this case calls for the use of what can be called a "valet or devil pivot".
In other words, it is sometimes necessary, before a rolling extraction operation1 to move laterally or transversely, in a horizontal plane, a span unit due, for example, to a protruding element below the bottom surface of the floor that has been poured and set. These movements are made by means of the valet and / or the support fitting that we will describe.
L'extrémité inférieure de la partie corps principale 116 de la ferrure d'appui 112 est dotée d'une plaque inférieure de support 117 munie d'une butée avant 118.Referring now to Figures 51 to 53 of the drawings, there is provided a support fitting, referenced 112 as a whole, and made in a box. The upper end of the main vertical body part 113 is provided with two spaced upper cheeks 114 which are capable, when the fitting is in place, of enclosing a vertical tubular link 4 and of being detachably fixed, in this position of use by means of a bolt and a nut 115 which tighten the cheeks on the link 4. The lower end of the main body part 116 of the support fitting 112 is provided with a lower support plate 117 provided with a front stop 118.
The valet or devil with pivot, referenced, as a whole, in figures from 54 to 56 - under the number 119 - comprises a framework on wheels equipped with a main handle 120, of a column vertical threaded and adjustable support 121 whose upper end 122 has an essentially square section and a secondary handle 123.
En supposant que les sections de travure n'utilisent point d'allonges 58 et que l'on désire déplacer une telle section dans une direction orthogonale à sa longueur, on fixera, de façon détachable (par le serrage des joues 114) plusieurs ferrures d'appui 112 aux liens verticaux 4 correspondants, comme l'illustre la figure 55 où, on le voit, la face inférieure du longeron inférieur 2 repose sur la plaque de support inférieure 107 et se voit interdire tout mouvement transversal, dans un sens par la partie corps principale 113 et, dans l'autre, par la butée 118.Assuming that the span sections use no extensions 58 and that it is desired to move such a section in a direction orthogonal to its length, several fittings will be detachably fixed (by tightening the cheeks 114). 'support 112 to the corresponding vertical links 4, as illustrated in Figure 55 where, as can be seen, the underside of the lower beam 2 rests on the lower support plate 107 and is prohibited from any transverse movement, in one direction by the main body part 113 and, in the other, by the stop 118.
The valets, or pivoted devils, 109 will then be placed in places such that, after adjustment by action on the thread, - the upper end 122 of each column 121 enters the lower end of a corresponding support fitting 112 so that the lower edges of the main body part 113 of the fitting come to bear on the side of the collar, or base, 124, of the upper end of the column 121.
After the screw jacks 10 have been brought by pivoting to the rest position so that the weight of the span sections is supported by the valet, it is possible to move said span sections in any direction in a horizontal plane.
In the case where the extensions 58 are part of the span unit, the support fittings 112. are not used to move said unit. In such a case, the weight of the span unit will be carried by a another model of valet / devil, called valet with long vertical stroke (not part of the present invention) so that one can disassemble and remove the screw jacks 10 carrying the extensions 58. Dismounting the jacks 10 allows '' access the lower open ends of the extensions 58 where one can then introduce the upper end of a pivot valet 119, as illustrated in Figure 56, thus allowing to move the span unit in any direction in a horizontal plane.
Dans le cas où l'emploi des ensembles 86 est nécessaire, la phase supplémentaire (E') devra être exécutée : (E') Insérer chaque tenon 90 de chaque ensemble 86 dans l'extrémité interieure ouverte de chaque longeron supérieur 1.As has already been said, the rolling extraction operation is somewhat different depending on whether the screw jacks 10 are fixed - so as to be able to pivot - at the lower ends of the load-bearing elements 3 or carry the lower ends main extensions 58, or carry the lower ends of the secondary extensions 61 and depending on whether the three types of unit, which we have just defined, are provided with one, or more than one, extension for staircase core E. Depending on the case, the successive phases of the rolling extraction and removal to a higher level operation are
1) For units without extensions (a) Place at least two hydraulic cylinders of any type with suitable reduced stroke (not shown) under the lower beams 2 of the modular span unit and make them support the latter; (b) Attach the inner end of the unit to any suitable anchor point using restraint cables or lifelines (not shown) to ensure that the unit cannot be moved too far outwards (c) Release the cylinders 10 (mounted, so as to be able to pivot, at the lower ends of the load-bearing elements 3), pivot them upwards, then fix them, as described above, in their rest position; (d) placing at least four cylinders 106, two on each side, under the lower beams 2 (e) maneuvering the hydraulic cylinders to lower the modular span unit until it rests on said cylinders 106; and (f) assuming that the bearing assemblies are not used on the ceiling 86, push the span unit out of the building to near its center of gravity where the slings 93 are placed around the upper side members 1, slings which are connected to the cable 94 of the crane after which the entire unit is pushed (or "rolled") outside so that the crane can remove it to a higher level It is obviously possible that the particular shape of the building necessitates the use, which we will now describe, of the ceiling bearing assemblies 46. The use of these assemblies prevents the poured floor, and having set, just above the modular span unit is not damaged during a rolling extraction operation and also allows the modular unit to roll, without risk of tipping, outside the building until beyond its gravity due to the support provided to the cylinders of ro only to the ceiling 88 by the lower surface of said poured and set floor. In the case where the use of assemblies 86 is necessary, the additional phase (E ') must be carried out: (E') Insert each tenon 90 of each assembly 86 in the open interior end of each upper spar 1.
2) For units with main extensions (a) Place at least two hydraulic cylinders of any type, with long stroke, suitable under the lower beams 2 of the modular span unit and make them support the latter; (b) Place at least four bearing supports 95 under the lower beams 2, in prefixed locations and after having adjusted them to a prefixed height (c) Release the jacks 10 carrying the main extensions 58, dismantle them and fix them in one any suitable point of the modular span unit ;; (d) Remove the U-bolts 59 connecting the pr incipal extensions 58 to the load-bearing elements 3 and push up the extensions 58 until they fully fit into said elements 3. Then replace the bolts in U59 to maintain said extensions 58 in their rest position; (e) In the case of not using the bearing support model 95, place at least four bearing cylinders 106 on the ground (refer to FIG. 50), two on each side, ious the lower side members 2 ;; (f) maneuvering the hydraulic cylinders to lower the modular span unit until it rests on said cylinders 106; (g) If the bearing or ceiling assemblies 85 are used, insert the lugs 90 of the said assemblies into the open inner side of each upper beam 1 (h) Attach the inner end of the unit or any span adequate anchorage point by means of a retaining pin or safety rope and (i) Push the bridge unit outside and remove it as described in phase (f) of the method (i) previously described.
It will be noted that phase (b) of the li3 method is not necessary in the case where the ground rollers 106, of the model illustrated in FIG. 50, are used, since the lower side members 2 will then rest on the ground rollers 106 thus making it possible to move the span unit outwards by rolling on said ground rolls, the use of which depends on the free height between the successive floors and the possible presence of obstacles on the ground. along the route to the outside. Obviously, the elimination of said phase (b) represents a significant saving in manpower,
3) For units with so many main cue extensions
secondary
The free height between the two successive floors depends on the use of the main extensions 38, each supplemented with at least one secondary extension 61 '. However, when these extensions are used, the height is too great for long-stroke hydraulic cylinders to be used. The lowering method of the span units is therefore different: the modular unit is retained, from the top, by means of winches located on the floor above it and whose cables, passing through holes of said floor, are fixed to the span unit. The holes consist of sleeves around which the concrete of the upper floor was poured during the pouring of said floor and the winches are placed on this floor when it has done taken. The lowering process will therefore include the following phases (a) Attach the winch cables to the upper beams 1 of the modular span unit (b) Remove the screw jacks 10 carrying the lower ends of the secondary extensions 61 ' and fix said jacks 10 to the span unit (c) Remove the molds 6 ', the flanges 62, the sleeves 60 and the secondary extensions 61' (d) Remove the U-bolts 59 which fix the main extensions 58 to the elements load carriers 3 and push up the extensions 58 until they fully fit into said elements 3. Then replace the U-bolts 59 to keep said extensions 58 in their rest position (e) Place, under the lower side members 2 of the span unit, either the bearing supports or the ground rollers 106 (FIG. 50) (f) Lower, by operating the winches, said modular span unit until it rests on said bearing supports 95 or said ground rolling cylinders 106 (g) Mount (if necessary) the ceiling bearing assemblies 86 in the open inner ends of the upper side members 1 of the span unit (h) Attach the inner end of the unit span at any suitable anchor point using a retaining cable or safety rope (i) Unhook the winch cables attached to the span unit and (j) Push the span unit outside and remove it as described in phase (f) of method (i) previously described.
When it is necessary, because of a building element, an integral part of the upper floor and projecting below the latter, to move a span unit on the side, or transversely to its axis, in a horizontal plane before being able to carry out the extraction operation by rolling, it can be done using the valet / devil illustrated in FIG. 54, the positioning of such a valet / devil depending on the presence, or absence, on the span unit, extensions 58.
Assuming that the main extensions 58 have not been used and that it is necessary to move the span unit laterally, the support fittings 112 are fixed detachably to the vertical tubular links 4, the plates support 16 being placed below the lower side members 2, and it is then possible, after having pivoted the cylinders 10 upwards and having fixed them in their rest position, place the valets / devils with pivot 119 under the fittings support 112 and adjust said valets / devilshighter until their upper ends 122 are placed in the open lower ends of said fittings 112. Therefore, it suffices to move the valets / devils on wheels 119 to that the span unit follows since it is carried by said valets / devils.
It is also possible, assuming that the extensions 58 had been used and were pushed upwards and fixed inside the load-bearing elements 3, place the jacks / devils 119 below the open ends of the said members. extensions 58 and adjust them in height until their upper ends 112 are housed in said open ends and therefore carry the modular span unit to move it laterally.
On remarquera finalement sur les dessins que les liens obliques 5, de chaque paire de liens obliques, se rejoignent à leur extrémité inférieure, où ils sont fixés au longeron inférieur 2, tandis que leurs extrémités supérieures sont fixées aux points où se rejoignent le longeron supérieur 1 et soit un élément vertical porteur de charge 3, soit un lien vertical tubulaire 4.Finally, it will be noted in the drawings that the oblique links 5, of each pair of oblique links, meet at their lower end, where they are fixed to the lower spar 2, while their upper ends are fixed at the points where the upper spar meet 1 and either a vertical load-bearing element 3 or a vertical tubular link 4.
It follows that the modular span unit can be supported at the points of intersection of said load-bearing elements 3, or vertical links 4, and of the lower spar 2 just as much as at the points of intersection of the oblique links 5 and of said spar. lower 2. We will preferably choose points, supporting the span unit, spaced 2 feet 6 inches apart.
This is an improvement over the previous techniques where the load-bearing elements are spaced 5 feet and 10 feet apart and where the oblique links cross both at the junction points between oblique links and at the junction points between oblique links and upper beams. This represents an important advantage in that the span units produced according to the previous techniques were, due to the too great spacing between the lower junction points, subject to jolts and oscillations during the extraction operations by rolling and, all particularly, when these span units reached a position similar to that shown in Figure 42 of the drawings.
The present invention also constitutes an improvement in that, in the configuration illustrated and described above, the span sections of essentially rectangular shape make it possible to connect the modular span units formed by their ends while, in the case of 'at least one of the previous configurations, the units were interconnected in the middle of their length, since the sections had a parallelogram shape due to the different lengths of the longitudinal members.
I. In addition, the span units produced according to the present invention are more resistant and rigid because their load-bearing elements 3 are produced in a box whereas, in the previous technique, they were made according to a profile in
I.
