Abstract

The lipstick container ( 1) is of square cross-section with a central bore to receive the lipstick (A). The lipstick is mounted in a slider (7) attached to one end of a strip (3) of resilient material. This strip passes through a curved slot (4) in the base of the container and then fits in a longitudinal slot (5) in the container wall. A cap (6) which also forms a press-button is attached to the other end of the resilient strip. The resilience of the strip is sufficient to hold the cap over the open end of the container. Pressure on the edge of the cap rotates it so that it is aligned with the longitudinal slot. The cap is then pushed along the slot and the resilient strip then pushes the lipstick out of the container.
