Abstract

The jet has a body (1) which screws into the carburettor. Fuel enters (2) at the inner end and flows into a chamber (3) formed in the body. It turns through 180 degrees and leaves through openings (4) in the side of the body. A needle (10) adjustable from the outside varies the opening of the flow into the chamber (3) to regulate the fuel flow. Atmospheric air is drawn into the jet through passages (7) in its outer end. A cap (9) on the end can be rotated round a sleeve (8). The air passages pass through the cap and sleeve and rotation of the cap varies the free cross section.
