Abstract

The turbine has a circular stator casing with an inlet into an annular flow header. The stator has guide sections on the inside of the header which form inlet nozzles between them through which water is injected onto the blades of the rotor. Each blade is formed of two linear sections at an angle to each other. The other section is inclined more in the direction of rotation. The stator sections are injection mouldings with profiled edges so that the nozzles formed between them direct the water perpendicularly onto the straight blade sections.
