Abstract

The signalling lamps for a vehicle are mounted in a box to which a cover is attached by a hinge. The box and cover are moulded in a single piece with a reduced thickness portion forming the hinge. The moulded surface of the box includes sockets for the lamps, with contacts in these sockets connected to a flexible printed circuit. The printed circuit is held against the back surface of the lamp housing by a clip which is closed as the lamp cover is folded about the thin hinge. The circuit has all its connections brought together in a contact zone for connection to the external circuits. Reflectors with coloured front lenses may be fitted into the lamp housing as required.
