INTERNAL INTEGRATED TUBULAR CIRCUITS
The present invention relates to a method of protecting against corrosion of the internal wall of integrated tubular circuits in the form of panels used as heat exchangers and intended more particularly to absorb solar energy and to transmit it directly to more or less corrosive fluids which are conveyed in said circuits.
Those skilled in the art know, in particular from the teaching of French patent No. 1,129,511, that panels with integrated tubular circuits can be manufactured by a process comprising the following steps - cleaning with a metal brush of at least at least one of the faces of two or more flat sheets based on aluminum or copper to remove oxides and other impurities, - deposition, on at least one of these cleaned faces, of an anti-welding ink according to the circuit layout to be developed, - placing the cleaned faces of two or more flat sheets and co-laminating opposite one another, so as to create a mechanical connection at the level of the non-inked faces, - opening onto the assembly thus produced of a channel in connection with the inked parts and opening outwards, - inflation by blowing of a pressurized fluid, at the level of the channel, so as to develop circuits; this development being limited locally by placing the assembly between the two plates of a press in order to avoid any tearing during inflation, - opening of one or more connection orifices intended to connect the panels to external circuits.
The panels thus obtained are generally used as heat exchangers between fluids circulating inside and outside the said panels respectively and, moreover, they can be used to collect solar energy by their external surface, provided a treatment to make it absorbent, and to transmit it to a fluid which circulates 1 inside.
Most often, the fluids borrowing inside the tubular circuits are organic compounds such as, for example, freons, glycols, etc., which do not present any danger of corrosion for the material constituting the panels.
However, there are cases where the panels are traversed by constantly renewing fluids and whose reactivity towards metals such as copper and aluminum declines sufficiently high to cause damage up to drilling of panels.
C'est ainsi, par exemple, que des panneaux ont été réalisés à partir de tôles obtenues par placage d'alliages d'aluminium du type 7072 sur de l'aluminium 1050 ou sur l'alliage 3003.Certain solutions have been recommended based, in particular, on the use of composite sheets, taking into account the fact that the composition of the sheet able to resist corrosion is not necessarily suitable for the formation of an absorbent surface and that it was necessary to therefore resort to the use of two different materials. Thus, for example, panels were produced from sheets obtained by plating aluminum alloys of the type 7072 on aluminum 1050 or on alloy 3003.
However, in addition to the high cost price of such composites, the co-laminating technique used to obtain integrated tubular circuits cannot be applied to all types of composite, owing to the sometimes unsuitable mechanical characteristics of their components. In addition, these composites are only suitable for fluids having well defined compositions. This spEo ffl ity then particularly reduces the interest.
Other solutions have been applied, such as the addition of corrosion inhibitors, but, apart from the high cost of such treatments for the fluid carried, this solution is not compatible with certain fluids whose integrity is to be maintained, such as c This is the case, for example, of water intended for household consumption.
With a view to obtaining panels used as heat exchangers, inside which the most varied fluids could be passed without risking damaging them and without harming the integrity of these fluids, the applicant sought and found a process which makes it possible to solve this corrosion problem while maintaining the heat exchange capacity of the panels obtained.
According to the invention, this method of protecting against corrosion of the internal wall of integrated tubular circuits under cast iron of panels used as heat exchangers, manufactured by co-laminating at least two flat sheets based on aluminum whose facing faces have was initially cleaned and separated by an anti-welding ink along the route of the circuits to be developed, then inflated by blowing a pressurized fluid into the inked places so as to develop said circuits, is characterized in that the interior of the tubular circuits developed is coated with a thin film of protective varnish.
The invention therefore consists in forming, after inking and co-laminating the prepared surfaces, a thin film of varnish inside the tubular circuits which have been developed by inflation; this varnish is chosen as a function of its chemical inertness with respect to the fluids conveyed.
Compared with the techniques of varnishing rectilinear tubes, the varnishing of the interior of integrated circuits proves to be much more delicate because of the accentuated curvatures of these circuits and of their branching into one or less large number of parallel or non-parallel paths. Indeed, the pressure drops are more or less significant from one circuit to another, and the varnish tends to be distributed in an irregular manner causing local accumulations or, on the contrary, gaps going until leaving bare certain surface elements.
In addition, particular techniques, such as those described in French Patent No. 2 276 106, and consisting in forcing a piston into circulation inside the tube to be painted, are not applicable in the case of panels because of their complex geometry.
This is why the applicant has been led to develop a process intended to form a thin film of uniform varnish over the entire internal surface of the circuits.
The method used is characterized in that the tubular circuits are completely filled with varnish by means of a pump, the outlet of which is connected to the lower connection orifice (s) of the panel, then drained; the upper connection orifice (s) are then closed and the interior of the circuits is put under a reduced pressure comprised between atmospheric pressure and the evaporation pressure of the varnish solvents at ambient temperature; the panel is thus drained and then heated in order to ensure the evaporation of the solvents and the cooking of the varnish film which has remained on the internal wall of the circuits.
The claimed process therefore requires, first of all, the filling of the circuits by means of a pump, the suction of which has been connected to a source of varnish and the discharge to the lower connection opening (s) of the panel.
de façon à assurer un remplissage complet de bas en haut des circuits.so as to ensure complete filling from bottom to top of the circuits.
When this filling is finished, the pump is stopped and its operation is reversed in order to suck up the varnish and drain the circuits.
However, it is also possible to separate the pump from the opening (s) of the panel and let the varnish flow by gravity.
The filling and emptying can be carried out so as to have a variation in the level of the varnish inside the circuits of less than 10 cm / minute, it being understood that this speed varies as an inverse function of the viscosity.
When the emptying is practically finished and the varnish only flows intermittently, the upper connection orifice (s) of the panel are closed by any sealing means, and the drainage is then carried out by placing under reduced pressure inside the circuits using a pump connected to the lower connection port (s) via a receiving bottle, and making it possible to reach minimum pressures of a few millimeters of mercury.
The purpose of this operation is to obtain a homogeneous distribution of the solvent vapors inside the circuits and, consequently, a regular deposition of varnish on the walls.
Indeed, when operating at atmospheric pressure, there is a solvent enrichment in the parts of the circuits remote from the connection orifices causing in these zones a deposit of varnish of smaller thickness.
After draining, the panel, the interior of which remains maintained under reduced pressure, is introduced into an oven and heated so as to evaporate the solvents and cook the varnish film.
During this last step, it is necessary to have a reduced pressure inside the channels, so as to evacuate the solvent vapors as they are released from the varnish.
If one operates at atmospheric pressure, the released solvents accumulate in certain regions of the circuit and have the effect of redissolving and entraining the varnish which leads to a defective final coating.
During the draining and heating stages, the reduced pressure maintained inside the circuits is between atmospheric pressure and the solvent evaporation pressure at room temperature because, if the pressure is lower than the pressure d 'evaporation, there occurs an oiling of the varnish which is detrimental to its protective properties.
According to a variant of the process, the emptying can also be done under reduced pressure. It is therefore necessary, in this case, to close the upper connection hole (s) of the panel as soon as the filling is completed. In this way, the distribution of the varnish on the surface of the circuits is further improved.
According to another form of the invention, it is possible, during draining and heating, to carry out very brief introductions of air through the upper connection orifice (s)
These introductions can reduce the internal pressure to a value close to atmospheric pressure. This has the effect of perfecting the evacuation of the solvents.
Another variant of the process consists in carrying out the heating under reduced pressure only during the phase of evaporation of the solvents while the curing of the varnish is carried out under atmospheric pressure. This makes it possible to use conventional heating means for cooking such as, for example, passage ovens.
For the execution of the process, it is preferable to place most of the circuits of the panel vertically. In this way, during its ascent in the circuits, the varnish regularly wets the entire surface and, when it is emptied, there is no local stagnation.
The composition of the varnish used depends on the nature of the fluid which will pass through the panel. However, it is generally a direct-adhesion, heat-crosslinkable varnish of the epoxy, epoxy-phenolic or phenolic type.
However, it is obvious that any other coating, chosen for special application, can be used.
The thickness of the varnish film is chosen according to the type of varnish. There is a minimum to be observed to ensure a uniform coating of the aluminum surface and a maximum not to be exceeded to avoid detachment in contact with hot fluids. In general, the average thickness is between 5 and 30 Vm.
The viscosity of the varnish must be adapted according to the geometry of the tubular circuits. It can be modified by adding solvent so as to generally reach a value of between 50 and 300 seconds measured at a temperature of 20 "C according to the standardized AFNOR nO 4 cut.
The thickness chosen is adjusted to the viscosity of the varnish used.
The present invention also relates to the application of integrated tubular circuits in the form of panels thus treated to the production of heat exchangers and, more particularly, of solar absorbers.
Due to the presence of varnish, the most diverse fluids can pass through the solar collector without risk of corrosion ~ and without harming the integrity of the fluid conveyed.
Thus, instead of having indirect heating systems, that is to say in which the fluid to be heated recovers calories by an exchange from a loop to which the sensor is connected, we can pass the fluid to be heated directly through the absorber circuit itself and have direct heating. It is thus possible to heat sanitary water without an intermediate circuit, avoiding the risk of polluting it. The same is true for more or less corrosive industrial fluid products, saline water intended for the manufacture of pure water, chlorinated water used in swimming pools or other uses.
In addition, the systems obtained are economical because they avoid the use of secondary circuits, special heat transfer fluids, special exchangers, various pipes and accessories, etc.
L'invention sera mieux comprise à l'aide des exemples suivants
EXEMPLE 1
EXAMPLE 1
A panel with integrated tubular circuits of dimensions 1.90 mx 0.75 m is produced from two aluminum plates A5 in the following manner: ink based on titanium oxide is applied by screen printing screen on the 'one of the plates; the two plates are hot-rolled and, after cooling, the panels are inflated. A series of twenty panels is then directly filled from bottom to top with a Stoner Mbdge SF 6256 epoxy-phenolic varnish (viscosity 200 seconds following Afnor nO 4 cut at 20 C) using a pump (filling rate d '' a panel 2 liters / minute).
As soon as the varnish reaches the upper connection orifice of the panels, the supply of varnish is cut, the panels are emptied into a recovery tank; when the flow of varnish has become intermittent, the upper ports are closed, a vacuum pump is connected to the lower ports by inserting a receiving bottle, a pressure of 10 mm of mercury is established, then the panels are introduced into an oven at 1200C for 10 minutes; the vacuum is then broken, the panels are suspended and they are guided in a passage oven where they are baked for 12 minutes at 2050C.
The panels obtained have a food interior coating of five to ten microns, having no porosity on the copper sulphate test.
Ensuite, vidange puis main

-180C for 6 hours, c) alternating water circulation: 1 h. hot water at 800C then 1 hour. cold water
of 100C.
After four months of any of these tests, the coatings retain their adhesion and protection properties.

After filling, the upper opening is closed and reduced pressure is applied during the emptying, draining and heating operations, while injecting air during the period of these last two stages; te ': cbauffa-ge is performed for 15 minutes at 2100C.
The panels obtained have a coating of 10 to 20 μm and have no porosity on the copper sulphate test.
pliquée à 400C.The chemical resistance of these coatings has been tested with highly aggressive aqueous chemical solutions. , 5 ap
plicated at 400C.
On ne note également aucun décollement après passage d'eau à 100 C. After 40 days of testing, no piercing has been observed while, without the protection according to the invention, the panel is pierced after one hour. There is also no detachment after passing water at 100 C.
Similarly, a circulation of highly chlorinated water (1.2 degrees chlorine) at 550C for four but shows no deterioration of the coating.
After examining the coated surface, it is noted, according to the grid test, that the coating has retained its adhesion properties.
Thus, the present invention provides a safe and economical means of directly heating the most diverse fluids, in particular by means of solar energy without harming the integrity of the device itself and of the fluid conveyed and finds its application in all heat exchangers and, mainly, in solar absorbers, whether used for domestic or industrial purposes.
