Abstract

The moulded elastomer weatherstrip (8) is used with the slidable sun-roof (6) of a road vehicle. It has an approximate 'S' section whereby it houses onto the edges (3,4) of both the roof opening (2) and a raised drip-tray. It may comprise a rectangular frame, the top groove (8b) widening (8c) on the short sides to accommodate a 'U' section track (5) for the slidable panel (6). The short sides may extend (10) unilaterally in the same 'U' section (8c), to accommodate the track extensions for the panel (6) when retracted. The long side remote from extensions may include a flared upstand (9) which constitutes a closure-stop with an air-deflector (9a).
