Abstract

The seed planter comprises a wheel, its rim (1) circumference pierced by holes, spaced at the required seed planting distance apart. Inside the rim, a small funnel (7) is positioned over each hole, this receiving the seed (13). Each funnel has its own individual piston (5), its upper end provided with a roller (6). The rollers are guided in a track (12) around the wheel centre and a circular cam (11) is provided at its lowest point. The cam pushes each piston into the ground, as it passes underneath it, the seed being inserted to the correct depth.
