Abstract

An installation for the fermentation of manure etc. to produce fuel gas. The fermentation takes place in a vertical, cylindrical vessel which is rotated about its central vertical axis. The vessel pref. rotates as it floats in oil contained in an outer, thermally insulated jacket. The open top of the vessel is pref. covered with a coaxial, circular lid which remains stationary as the vessel rotates. The vessel pref. contains a coaxial, vertical cylindrical gasometer, leaving an annular space between its outer wall and the inside of the vessel. Used for prodn. of fuel gas by fermentation of manure from stables, cowsheds, pig pens, boiler houses etc. Gives continuous prodn. of gas with no need to pre-pulp or liquefy the manure which can be directly fed to the process, little power is required to turn the vessel as it floats in an oil bath. Waste oil can be re-used in the bath.

qui permettent de maintenir le niveau de purin dans le
gazometre et faire circuler le purin dans la chaudière.
