Abstract
The method commences with the sleeve of the electric cable in flat form which is rolled into cylindrical form at the end of the process. The conductors are laid on the flat sleeving by a guide which oscillates across the direction of motion of the sleeve as it is being wound from one bobbin to another. The conductors then lie in a wave formation on the flat sleeve. A dispenser also oscillating perpendicularly to the direction of sleeve motion has previously laid a wave of polystyrene glue on the sleeve, in antiphase to the wave formed by the conductors, so the conductors are fixed to the sleeve where they cross the glue path. The sleeve is then rolled into cylindrical form and the joining seam glued to form the cable.
