Abstract
The slab is rectangular in shape, has a smooth bottom, but the top is corrugated longitudinally along most of its length, the corrugations tapering out to form flat working areas. Heating tubes or pipes (13) run backward and forward down the grooves, the space beneath the pipes being insulated and then given a reflective coating, while on top of the pipes is a convection plate (14). The slab is then coated according to its use to cover the heating elements. The coating can be a thin layer of reinforced concrete if the slab is to form a load bearing floor.
