Abstract

The heat exchanger consists of a number of tubes which are wound round with a wire. The wire may be wound in a spiral around the tube or may form part of a grid. The wire carries a number of strips which are welded at regular intervals along the wire. The strips are U-shaped with the open ends of the U away from the tube. The strips are made from heat conducting material. If the wires are made up into a grid then they may be held onto the tube by wiring.
