Abstract

Le dispositif se compose d'un tube de Venturi 1 placé à la sortie du collecteur d'échappement. L'autre extrémité comporte, sur sa partie extérieure, un cône plein 2 qui se termine par un tube doté, sur sa périphérie, de quatre ouvertures en forme de créneaux 3. Le premier ensemble s'emboîte à l'intérieur d'un deuxième tube de Venturi 4, fixé à l'entrée du pot d'échappement. Ce dernier à la possibilité de se déplacer longitudinalement, jusqu'à venir en butée sur le cône 2. Le cône 2 assure la fermeture du venturi 4, tout en introduisant, lorsqu'il est en mouvement, un déphasage entre l'onde retour des gaz d'échappement et celle de l'aller atténuant le bruit d'une façon très efficace. Cette invention peut être utilisée sur tous les moteurs à explosion.
