The control equipment is for a heating or air-conditioning system, partic. in a motor vehicle, having a heat-exchanger, a fan cutting in and out, and if necessary an evaporator, a condenser and a compressor. An electronic regulator adjusts air mixing, distribution and/or water control valves dependent on the temp. detected. The adjusting device (17) contains in a housing (26), material expanding most markedly at a predetermined temp. and acting via a diaphragm on a sliding plunger (27). It has a heater formed by a PTC-resistance (28) supplied with current by the regulator, and acts against one arm (29) of a lever (30), whose other arm (31) turns the air valve etc. (21) by means of a rack (32).
