Abstract

The base box (1) is designed to give a reasonable ground pressure at the same time as providing stability to the barrier against wind forces. The detachable base of the barrier posts are web reinforced (3) and bolted to the box (4) which is then filled with earth so that shrubs and trees can be planted in front of the screen. The boxes also act as bottom support to the screen panels (8) which are separately attached to the top part of the barrier posts, the design of the panels being variable. The panels can be opaque or translucent.
