Abstract

In ventilation and air-conditioning installations, which contain inter alia a heating device (3), heat exchangers (1, 2) are arranged, for heat recovery, in the outgoing-air flow and in the external-air flow, they are connected to pipes (a, b) and a heat-transfer medium is allowed to circulate therein in a circuit. In order to be able to use water for this without an antifreeze additive which impairs its thermal properties, hot water has been supplied from the heating device (3) to the circuit upstream of the external-air heat exchanger and thus far the return run into the device has been connected downstream of the exchanger. The invention consists in the concept, deviating from this, of making the same heat-transfer medium quantities per unit of time flow through the heat exchangers in the external-air flow (1) and in the outgoing-air flow (2), in other words also to connect the return-run pipe to the heating device to that pipe which supplies the heat-transfer medium to the external-air heat exchanger (1). Reduced flow-through quantity through the outgoing-air heat exchanger (2) and thus poorer heat transmission are avoided as a result and, in addition to other advantages, a significantly greater heat recovery is achieved.
