Abstract

The demountable glazed partition wall may extend between a floor (28) and ceiling (29), incorporating window framing to which glazing bars (20) and masking sections (19) are attached. The frames (A, B, C) have a multi-channel cross-section with four flanged vertical webs (3-8) connected at uniform horizontal centres by a central horizontal web (2). This forms vertical and horizontal faces onto which one and three channels open out respectively. Flanges forming channels are internally moulded (17) to imprison butterfly shaped elastic tongues of the masking sections (19), and glazing bars may have an 'F' section, of which forked leg ends (25) engage the penultimate flanges. Glazing panels (31) may be complete with seals (33), their edges housing between glazing bars (20) and the two centre flanges (14, 15). Dwarf wall panels (30) may be retained by masking sections (19) and internal elastic spacers (26).
