Abstract

The alarm circuit includes a wheatstone bridge whose imbalance causes locking of an integrated circuit (IC4), which in turn lights an LED indicator and operates the alarm via a relay. Unlocking may be carried out manually by operating the pushbutton switch (S1). The integrated circuit may alternatively be automatically reset, the automatic or manual mode being selected by the switch (S2). Resetting may only be carried out if the output (3) of the integrated circuit (IC5) is positive. The automatic resetting time is adjustable by varying the values of the resistance, R, (10 kiloohms to 10 megaohms) and the capacitance C, (4.7 to 15 microfarads). Two further integrated circuits (IC 6 & 7) control this operation. A further modification of the circuit enables certain alarm detectors to be temporarily disarmed, whilst the alarm is being set up-for example as the operator crosses a room.
