Abstract

The union is for the releasable connection of a mast foot to a surf board, and forms a cylindrical location in the shape of an anchoring housing (2). A pin (3) is insertable in the housing, and a ring (4) made of comparatively pliant material secures the union between pin and housing. The inner wall of the housing, commencing at the mouth (5), has firstly a cylindrical section (6), followed by a narrow section in the form of a hollow blunt conical surface (7) with the larger end facing the mouth, a widened chamber part (9), and finally a conical bowl (11) to take the pin end.
