Abstract

Conformément à l'invention, les lampes à l'halogène remplies d'un mélange d'un gaz rare et d'hydrobromure, présentent un fixateur d'oxygène qui est un composé intermetallique d'un premier métal et d'un second métal. Le premier métal est tantale, titane, zirconium, hafnium ou niobium, le second métal palladium, platine ou or. Les composés intermétalliques sont tellement stables qu'une réaction s'établit toujours avec de l'oxygène, mais non avec l'hydrobromure. De ce fait, la quantité de fixateur pouvant être introduite dans une lampe n'est pas critique. Application : éclairage sur véhicules notamment.
