Abstract

The silage cutting andextraction machine has a horizontal auger-type cutter (6a), and a cutting tool guided in a horizontal plane and parallel to the cutter axis. The tool can be formed by endless chain equipped with blades, or alternatively a reciprocating member. Where a chain is used, this can be guided in a U-shaped passage around the cutter, the arms of the U being parallel to the end faces of the latter. At one end of the cutter there can be a projector wheel (7) on the same shaft, delivering the silage cut loose onto a conveyor belt (8).
