Abstract
L'invention a trait à un filtre à suie disposé dans le courant des gaz brûlés de moteurs à combustion interne à compression d'air. Elle a pour objet un filtre à suie dans lequel un boîtier filtrant de préférence cylindrique est disposé à proximité de l'échappement du moteur à combustion interne, boîtier auquel sont raccordées radialement ou tangentiellement des tubulures d'admission et dans lequel est disposé un matériau fibreux céramique, selon le brevet principal n degrés 78 31955. Le matériau fibreux forme, avec la surface de la paroi interne du boîtier filtrant 1, des cavités 13, qui reçoivent les gaz d'échappement après traversée des parties filtrantes 4-6 et les transmettent, dans la direction axiale du boîtier filtrant 1, à la canalisation d'échappement 8 reliée axialement à celui-ci. Application : notamment à la réduction de la pollution provoquée par des moteurs brûlant des hydrocarbures.
