Abstract

The system has a generator with an exciter controlled by a voltage regulatro, connected to the battery to be charged. There is a charge control lamp; and first and a second control lines leading from the battery and the exciter to the control input of the voltage regulator. Each control line has a diode with a cathode in the direction of the voltage regulator if the system negative terminal is connected to frame. A Zener diode is in the second control line in series with the second diode with its anode in the direction to the voltage regulatro.
