Abstract

A magnetic core is used for the production of a three-dimensional magnetic field. It has good magnetic properties producing axial and radial fields and it consists of a cetre core and an outer core. The centre core (1) is laminated and cylindrically-shaped from a stack of discs (2). The outer core (3) is built up from radially involuted laminae (4). The laminae can also have different geometric shapes. The eddy currents in such a core are considerably reduced.
