Abstract

The safety cap is for tubes, bottles, cans etc. of glass, metal or plastics. Either on the spout or cap are one or more protruding radial edges interrupted at one or more points, while on the other of the cap or spout are one or more radial protrusions in the opposite direction, engaging with the edge when the cap is in the closed position. The cap can be of the tube with a skirt, with the protrusions on the inside of the skirt and the edge on the outside of the spout, or vice-versa.
