Abstract

A combined refrigerator and freezer has two compartments (2, 3) with the freezer compartment in the upper part of the cabinet. Each compartment has its own door (5, 6) the doors being separated by the floor (4) of the freezer. The thermostat (9) is fitted in the lower compartment (3) with the control rod (11) projecting obliquely through the edge of the freezer floor (4) into the gap between the doors. The control rod has a transverse slot in its end face so that the thermostat can be adjusted from outside by using a coin which fits into this slot.
