Abstract

The intake guide for a maize harvester has two shanks extending in front of and above the intake, while between them is a central portion extending across the travel direction. From the forward portions (10, 10') of the shanks (7, 7') there extend away from the travel direction holder bars (11, 11'). These bars can be arranged to end at the centre line (a) of the intake, or beyond it, and to swing against spring action on mountings away from the travel direction.
