Abstract

The food bowl for domestic animals comprises one or more vessels (1) access to which is prevented by a cover (2). A control mechanism (3) opens the cover at a predetermined time, the vessels, cover and mechanism being contained in a frame. The cover can be movably mounted on the frame and equipped with a sealing joint, typically having a hinge and a return spring, embedded at one end in the cover material and acting at the other against a lug on the frame.
