Abstract
The alternator and regulator includes a stator (1) and rotor (2) carrying the excitation coils. Induction coils (3) in the stator supply a diode bridge (3) connected between the output supply line (4) and earth. A thermistor (7) in the stator forms a temp. sensor. A control stage (8) compares the voltage (T) with a reference voltage (Tr) to control the excitation current accordingly. The voltage (Tr) is supplied by a selector (9) which receives a reference voltage (U1) and a voltage (U2) supplied by a temp. control stage receiving its information from the pickup (7). Excitation current is thus controlled as a function of the prevailing temp. in the stator.
