Abstract

The electrode of the rotor distributes the ignition voltage to stationary electrodes. Its axis is insertable onto a carrier sleev pivoting about the distributor shaft, the carrier sleeve (15) being operated by centrifugal force. The rotor is positively connectable to the carrier sleeve. The positive connection is carried out by a sprung latchin bolt between the rotor axis (12) and the carrier sleeve. The latching bolt may have a stud (21), resiliently abutting the carrier sleeve. The stud penetrates in a recess (24) of the rotor axis in a sort of a bayonet connection. The bolt may protrude from an end section of a rolled leaf spring (19) inserted in a bore of the carrier sleeve.
