Abstract

The sprung edge of the ski (6) is formed of at least one plate fitted on the side of the ski. The edge is articulated with the skivia mountings (A) which allow it to move as far as a defined degree of inclination. The mountings can be integrated in the thickness of the ski and are made flexible by shock absorbers (5). These can be coil springs, leaf springs, or compressed gas. They can also be a system of torsion bars. The horizontal part of the edge (10) fits into a groove along the side of the ski.
