Abstract

Procédé d'extraction et de séparation du gadolinium et du gallium, à partir de substances contenant essentiellement ces éléments sous forme d'oxydes ou transformables en oxydes. Ce procédé comprend les opérations suivantes : broyage très fin de la substance de départ, dissolution dans un acide minéral fort, purification de la solution, précipitation du gadolinium comme oxalate et séparation du gallium à l'état métallique, par électrolyse. Un tel procédé convient particulièrement pour la récupération et le recyclage de ces éléments à partir de déchets de fabrication du grenat de gadolinium et de gallium.
