Abstract

The movable connecting pipe (3) of the mouthpiece housing (2) is a rotary tilt joint whose bearing axis or shaft (7) is both the support for a castor (9) and the base support. The housing (2) includes a lower base part (14) connected to it. It is mounted and held with the joint (3a) under spring tension on the shaft (7) so that in the work position the lower part (14) is pressed at constant pressure with its slide surfaces flat onto the floor surface to be cleaned. A suction channel (22) is mounted between the slide faces of the lower part parallel to the direction of movement with thread pick-ups (23) being detachably inserted on either side parallel to the channel (22). This channel is drawn forward beyond the slide faces in hammerhead fashion so as to close up with the inner wall of the upper part (2) of the housing.
