Abstract

The inflatable structure is formed by joining cylinders or curved tubes made of flexible, airtight material such as rubber or plastics. The joints and extremities are hermetically sealed and a valve is fitted so that the structure can be inflated. The structure can be formed from four cylinders joined at right angles. More complex structures can be formed by joining cylinders of different diameters.
