Abstract

There are two bogie frames hinged together about a vertical axis on the railway wagon, which has its body supported to right and left of the longitudinal axis in the centre of each frame. The hinge consists of two journals (43, 44). The first (43) connects one bogie frame to the wagon body, and the other (44) connects the second bogie frame to the first, or to the wagon body. In the first case the journals are aligned axially to each other, and in the other case parallel, absorbing frames' vertical relative movements in elastomer pads. This provides for a lower wagon floor, with increased loading depth.
