Abstract

The milking machine teat cup unit has a head with an outer sleeve enclosing an inner membrane which consists of an upper and a lower part each subjected to pressure by respective pressure supply connections on the outer sleeve. The membrane has a thick outer end, shaped to fit over the open end of the outer tube, forming the pressure chamber. This chamber is divided into two by a lip sloping outwards half way up the membrane, supported by a flange projecting from the inside of the outer sleeve.
