Abstract

The unit consists of a generator with several casing sections mounted axially and joined by flanges, including a generator section with a first hollow cylinder. It carries the stator core, and is mechanically connected with two flanges at its end. Fastening rings are welded to the cylinder inner surface, and mechanically connected with axial supports for the stator core. A second hollow cylinder (3) coaxial with and radially outside the first cylinder (4) forms a thermally insulating space (5) between them.
