Abstract

The half-ring is for a ring-binder. Its end fixed to the supporting strip (1) has an extension (B) projecting beyond the support centre line (M) and bearing against the opposite part of the support. The extension can be on one side only of the ring centre line, there being a notch in the half-ring on the other side for a similar extension on the other half-ring. The lower face of the extension can form an angle equal to that between the two supporting strips when the mechanism is shut.
