Abstract

The part of the system which is used to determine the vehicle speed is an electronic circuit operating as an electronic chronometer with accuracy up to a 1/1000 of a second. The chronometer is connected to an arrangement of read only memories which transform time into speed in kilometers per hour. With the addition of a half lens to the camera the system can photograph simultaneously in a first plane, the speed, date and time and in a second plane the vehicle committing the offense. The camera is only actuated if the vehicle is being driven at a speed higher than the prescribed limit.
