Abstract
The fatigue tester has coaxial tubes between which jacks act, the inner tube being mounted in bearings. This rotary assembly is mounted in a fixed coaxial outer tube, further jacks acting between the outer tube and a fixed frame. A control system is provided to turn the rotary assembly and regulates operation of the jacks. The main shaft is coupled to a secondary shaft with a rotary jack for measuring torsional fatigue effects.
